Dear Small Business and Professional Ethics SIGs members,

We would like to invite you to an exclusive roundtable discussion bringing together small business owners and financial professionals for a candid conversation on a topic we don't talk about enough - the ethical responsibilities that business owners carry toward their accountants and financial advisors.

We often place the burden of integrity on the accountant. This roundtable challenges that assumption. We believe that ethical culture doesn't start with the professionals we hire - it starts at the top.

This will be a guided discussion built around questions such as:

    • What are business owners' ethical responsibilities toward their accountants?
    • How do business owners establish, contribute to, and maintain an ethical culture across their organization?
    • How do business owners balance transparency in financial reporting with the pressure to perform?
    • What is truly at stake for a finance professional when a client asks them to stretch the truth?

We look forward to an honest, thought-provoking conversation among peers.

    Date: Monday, June 2
    Time: 10:00 AM EST
