    I am a nonprofit fractional CFO as well as having served on numerous nonprofit boards.  The topics I see most nonprofits struggle with are:

    1. Revenue recognition for multi-year pledges
    2. Restricted contributions and releases from restriction

    I'll throw down some ideas: 

    • "Not for profit funding options" — syndications, investment pooling, grants, local and state-based programs, tax incentives, so on . . .
    • Employee hiring, volunteer engagement, not for profit perks, and cutting-edge benefits and / or packages that can make nonprofits more attractive.
    • Scaling and beyond growth — operations and reach.

    Hi! I speak often on nonprofit and higher education technical accounting and organizational matters. I have a list of already prepared presentations I can share with you, both technical and non-technical. My most frequent presentations include:

    Introduction to nonprofit or higher education accounting

    Internal control design for small organizations

    Application of COSO to nonprofit organizations

    Cash Flow Planning

    Strategic Budgeting

    Building better board reports

    Setting appropriate financial and nonfinancial metrics
