Really agree with this. One small habit that's made a real difference for me is checking in with people before jumping into work talk, asking how their week's actually going, and genuinely waiting for the answer instead of treating it as a formality. It sounds minor, but people notice when someone's actually listening versus just being polite.
Another one that's worked well is giving credit in the moment and not saving it for big meeting. A quick "that was a good call" right after someone does something well tends to build more trust than recognition that comes months later.
Neither takes extra time but leaves a big impact on one's mindset and behaviour to always do something well.
