A unique Case-study based webinar. What do you think!
    • Do you think the scenarios presented were realistic?
    • Have you ever come across a similar scenario like Leslie or Katrina?
    • Do you have anybody to consult when you have an ethics related quPostestion?

Anything else you would like to discuss about the webinar?

We thank Larry and Jerry for an amazing informative session!

I think it was a nice webinar, its the least you can expect w these guys, they're pros, on Boards, executives, polished . . .

    ( @Larry White @Gerald Ratigan )

But I digress. The simulations, or examples were good, they highlighted that in real scenarios there are rarely just black and white matters, there are gray areas and alternatives each with their own pros and cons that one must weigh against the decision or situation.

The lean on the IMA Ethics Framework was also solid when used as a pillar for ethical decision-making.

Great engagement, tight coordination, solid follow-through and conclusion that pertains to the organizing and putting the webinar together. @Izz Ansari

Perhaps we will team up amongst the SIGs, our Smal Buss and Tech SIGs for example and you and we can rope in some chapters, get some traction going!!!

    Speak soon,

    Engaging follow-ups from this webinar!

As Ilya highlights, most ethical dilemmas in real life fall in the grey area. They are grey because they create an emotional fog on account of two values in conflict such as loyalty vs independence etc. We can certainly lean on IMA's SEPP for guidance on how to address these situations. I would add that we test our conclusion with input from different perspectives - with someone who is independent of the situation, with a different cultural or functional background who could challenge your assumptions. If no such avenue is feasible, I would ask myself - can i explain my decision and reasoning publicly, will I take this same decision given similar issues in the future, will I be proud of my decision.

@Prakash "can i explain my decision and reasoning publicly" - This one is the most powerful tool I think. Putting yourself in that shoe and imagining you have to give a speech to a crowded room to explain why you did what you did - that can really bring things into perspective. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

@Ilya Thanks for your detailed thoughts! I think the IMA Ethics framework comes in handy in all such situations because it is so comprehensive!

Also, agreed on the collab! Let me know if you have any starting ideas for topics we can cover :)
