I believe it is related to the CPE points/hours. As you know all professional qualifications require an annual CPE points to maintain your good standing.
If you for example have a CPA, ACCA or any other certificate before taking the CMA exam you can use those ( 60 credits ) that you earned for passing the exam to summit them to count towards the CPE requirements for the CPA, ACCA or the other certificates you have.
