June Exam results

    Hello All,

    Do you know if the June results will come out August 11? Or Monday the 12th?

    I started studying for Part 2 and so far think it is more challenging that Part 1. Who agrees? I like cost accounting more than hedging and derivatives:)

    Hi,

    the results will be out any day between 11th - 15th aug. I am awaiting my part 2 results. Even I found part 2 tougher than part 1 not because of derivatives but overall I found mcq to be more tricky. Let's hope for the best.

    I'm also waiting for the June exam results for Part 1 and I started studying Part2, you are correct Part 2 is more challenging, I finish Section C - Business Decision Analysis.

    Bro same here, I am also waiting for the result, I don't know the exact date but between 10-13 August it is expected. And about part 2 it's dam hard as compared to part 1 that is what I feel

    Hi,

    Looks like the results will be out anywhere from the 12th to the 14th as 10th and 11th fall on a weekend and considering past result dates, IMA has not published results other than on weekdays. 

    I too have felt Part 2 is lot more challenging than Part 1. Though its easier to study, the questions are quite tricky and is harder to score.

    Rashi, For Part 1 I studied the syllabus in this order.

    1.  Section B. Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
    2.  Section C. Performance Management
    3.  Section D. Cost Management 
    4.  Section E. Internal Controls
    5. Section F. Technology and Analytics
    6. Section A. External Financial Reporting Decisions

    Focus to know the topic concepts and keep on practicing MCQ's. 

    For MCQ strategies is to answer first the theory questions, then the easiest questions, next the medium one and last is the hardest one. 

    During the exam, while reading the IMA test instructions, using the sheet of paper given from the Prometric Center, you can start writing down those formulas you can recall,  this help me a lot when I take my Part 1 exam last June, 2024, like you waiting for the result.

    Hey Harold,

    I did make it to the Essay portion. I finished my MCQs with 5 minutes spare time, had to use it for my restroom break. However, the Essay portion had a variety of topics, and I was able to complete the whole section right on time.

    Not sure how I feel about it honestly, I feel like it has been a minute since I took my test, but I definitely think I like cost accounting material more than Part2. But we will get through it hopefully and we will all pass.

    True, I am bit nervous though. I was kind of surprised when I made it to the essay section on Part 2 because I felt that the MCQs were pretty hard tbh. However, on the essay questions I felt that it was not so bad and I wrote as much as I can for the essay portion of the exam. I am so anxious because I took part 1 and failed 2 times and on both attempts I did not make it past the MCQs but for part 2 I made it past the MCQs on the first try. I am just hoping that I pass part 2 and I can just focus on only studying for part 1 only for the next test window.

    Hi!, Harold I took my exam last June, 2024 waiting for the result, yes I was able to 
    proceed to Essay Section, (2) scenario with variety of topics included in the 12 questions,  as for the MCQ's there are several questions you have to provide the correct answers for the (2) accounts, and  most of the questions are related to Cost Accounting and Internal Control.

    Hi Harold,

    Don't be too hard on yourself. Part 2 is really challenging. Now that I'm studying for it, I can see the difference. I'm only a quarter into the material and already feeling stressed. I'll find out soon if I passed Part 1, but I thought Part 1 was much easier compared to Part 2.

    Just saw my result I failed. I got a 320 on part 2, super bummed out right now. So basically even making it to the essay and answering all the questions is no guarantee. I would say you need to literally feel confident in like 80-85% of the mcqs and attempt the essays to give you the buffer to pass. Man this honestly sucks so much because I was confident I was going to pass.

    Congratulations to all who passed the June Part 1.

    Questions are a bit tricky and complicated compared to GLEIM and IMA materials specially the MCQ's.
    After Q1 - Q15 (Marked all as Flagged), I started to lose hope at that time as I am not confident with my answers.

    I didn't have much hope after the exam because I couldn't complete the essay section. I only managed to answer nine of the twelve questions.
    In fact, I immediately began the review for the the same part again.

    I am not anticipating the results with any excitement. Despite my knowledge that I failed, I was nonetheless lucky to pass. I scored far higher than the passing mark.
