Since i post a message in IMA portal that i passed CMA ,some members asked me about my Exam preparation
So i though post yet another notes and that may be usefull to all.
October passed Part 1 and August 2024 Passed Part 2
1- Some candidate adviced to do part 2 First ,and ask me what i suggest?
I complted part 1 first and then Part 2 ,i did not find any advantage or disadvantage on it.So you can do it as you wish.
2- August last week some one asked ,i plan to attend CMA exam in October window ,can i pass,please advice?
I am an average student in my study time and completed Graduation with 50% Marks.CMA I took 6 months to prepare one Part and daily 2+Hours spend for study and practice ,so it is based on your current knowledge level and available time to study .Still in my opnion pass CMA with study of less than 4 months is not easy.Consistent study and parctice is required.It is not aesy as our UG/PG programs
3- What are the best study materials ?
In my opinion use any one study materials for study asper your covenient.Do not follow all publishers notes that will make you confusion enough.How ever you can answer as much Multiple choice question from any publishers that is good.But even that is not mandatory.
I used Hock only for notes and question bank. They have very detailed notes ,question bank and its answer keys are explained well.
4 - How did i prepare for CMA?
CMA syllabas are arranged by Session A to F and each session iclude enough topics too.
Used only Hock study materials,Read text topic wise and in Session Order( A,B,C,D,E,F) -
Then practice MCQS also topic wise after complete a Session answer atleast 150 MCQS of full session in one time siting .If i find difficulty to answer any question from this just quick review that topic again and aswer some more mcqs from this topics.Then to next session
Hock question bank include an option "Any time Review" ,while study next session atleast twice in a week answer 30 Mcqs question from perviously studied session.With in 4 Months this was completed ,and 2 months did revision.
Question bank contain around 1800 MCQS for all session.In revision quick read marked notes again and anser MCQS in Session Order by selecting 100+ Mcqs per day.And complete one round with in 15 days,Repeat it again ,
In last 2 weeks done 2 mock test and answer MCQS by slecting question from all session(A to F) atleast 150 Nos daily.During answering if i find difficult to answer any question just go MCQS session of that topic, do few number of MCQS from that topic only.This was repeated last day of study
5-How did i prepare for Essays?
In Hock there is some essay model questions that i did and review their answers.Sames time what i feel,if we readt text all topics atleast 2 time by understanding concept well ,answer all MCQS (Around 1800 nos) multiples time and read answer keys all times we answer question we will be able answer essay questions too.In my opinion no need to prepare seperatly for Essay by arranging special notes for it.Essays write in precise ways ,write the points only what is aked in question.
6- How is essay questions?
In exam there will be 2 essay questions.
It will be 2 scenarios ,and each scenario will have 5 or 6 sub questions .In one question the sub question will be from any session, may be one from session A and another from Session E like that .That may be theory type or calculation types,Writes clear theoratical answer for each questions , show formula and all steps in calculation type questions .
7- How did you study formulas and memorized it?
Firstly understand the core concepts and condent of fromula well then most of formulas we will write it on our ways.Secodnly whene ever we answer MCQS the formula types question, repeatedly write formula in working papers even we know it.It will be helped in 2 ways one to memoraise and to memorize quickly in exam

I plan to give CMA class training for nominal fees for Part 2 only now,2 Btaches one in English another in my mother toungue Malayalam
