Congratulations on successfully completing the CMA program. Your certificate is on its way and should arrive in your mailbox in approximately eight weeks.

Now that you have completed all the program requirements, you are responsible for maintaining your certification by completing 30 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) on an annual basis. Two of those hours must be dedicated to ethics training. As an IMA member, you have unlimited access to all IMA ethics courses for free. Your official CPE reporting cycle begins on January 1.

We strongly encourage you to keep a record of your CPE hours in the transcripts section of your profile on the IMA website.  Be sure to retain any documentation of your CPE hours as IMA will be verifying your credits at random.

For your convenience, you can access the Continuing Education Requirements and Rules on the IMA website under the Certification section. This will assist you in determining what types of continuing education can be reported for CPE credit.

You will also be receiving an email with your digital CMA badge and instructions on how to add it to your LinkedIn profile.
