Dear fellow Shared Interest Group members,

As members of IMA's Professional Ethics Shared Interest Group, you are exactly the kind of voices the profession needs to hear from.

That's why I'm reaching out on behalf of the IMA Committee on Ethics to let you know that submissions are now open for the 2027 Curt Verschoor Ethics Feature of the Year, a competition sponsored by our committee and Strategic Finance. This annual competition recognizes work that advances the profession's understanding of ethics, whether through new research, real-world analysis, or practical guidance on the ethical challenges we face today. Individual and joint authors are welcome to submit.

The winning entry will be published in Strategic Finance in March 2027. The winning contributors will also have the opportunity to present their article on IMA's Count Me In podcast.

If you're looking for inspiration, the 2026 winning entry,"Fraud and the Capital Vices: Pride, Envy, and Greed," by Douglas M. Boyle, DBA, Daniel P. Haggerty, PhD, and Dana R. Hermanson, PhD, is a compelling example of the kind of work that makes an impact.

I encourage you to consider submitting. The submission deadline is September 1, 2026, and you can apply here.
