Ask the CSCA Community

I know I am probably asking a question that has already been covered, however, for those who have already passed the CSCA exam did anyone use one of the textbooks referenced in the required reading handout?  I have signed up for the IMA learning series and have the HBR book, but was it beneficial to pick up one of the textbooks or just stick with the learning series and the HBR book?  

I am trying to be prepared as I am taking the exam at the end of September.

Hi Daniel,
About 80% in the Learning series is from HBR. Read it twice both the volumes. That’s what I did. Note down key points. And then go through learning series and all the resource materials in it. You will clear it.

CSCA resources are located on IMA's website at www.imanet.org/CSCA. To master the body of knowledge described in the CSO and LOS, candidates should create a study plan by selecting those resources that best meet their experience, expertise, and preferred learning style.

The IMA Strategy and Competitive Analysis Learning Series is one of these resources and it utilizes the book HBR's 10 Must Reads on Strategy to help course-takers understand the course material effectively.
