    Hello Everyone,

Small Businesses have a unique opportunity to foster community involvement. With the holidays fast approaching it's a great time to begin fostering community involvement. The business I work at is focused on fostering community involvement. Employees are always encouraged to get involved with food drives, toy drives, community sports, charities, community events.  My team at the dealership recently partnered with a local food pantry to fill up a pickup truck. Lately, during Christmas season we fill up a pickup truck with toys for the community. We also partner with United Way by offering a voluntary payroll deduction program to donate throughout the year. We also have a employee that coaches a community softball team during the spring/summer season that the dealership sponsors. How does your small business foster community involvement?

Thanks for the post Samuel, I'm excited to see what other small businesses do to help their communities both during the holiday season and throughout the year.

This time of year, my company helps with Christmas donations for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.  Volunteers grab a tag and shop for toys, coats, socks, blankets, and other requested items for a specific child in need.  We also help with boxing up and distributing the gifts.  Other opportunities to volunteer are provided throughout the year, including food pantries and women's shelters.  We have established a Foundation to provide monetary donations to worthy charities throughout the year as well.

Thank You @Amanda Bernard, for your response. It's great to hear that your small business is making a difference in your community. But also, making a difference in our employees by providing them with an opportunity to give back to their community.
