I took it in mid October, I just received notification this morning that I passed. What a relief! They made me enter a queue for over an hour to see my results, it was so frustrating LOL.  I was refreshing it on my commute to work, waiting for the results to be available.

I passed with a score of 440, I am pleasantly surprised because I was marginally failing after my Gleim full practice exam a week before the test. I'm so happy I passed the first time through, I was dreading having to review part 1 material again for the Jan/Feb testing window.  The scope is so broad!

Hope you guys found satisfactory results today.

This all applies to the Gleim system, which is what I'm using to study.  I imagine Becker and others have similar features as Gleim so just adapt it to what you're using.

    • Knock out all of the video lectures, take notes, and review the outlines given for each subunit carefully. Don't have to dwell on it forever, but give it a good once over.  Review your notes before you take your subunit quiz
    • After each review is done, make sure to take the subunit quizzes at least twice, sometimes 3 or 4 times if you're struggling. Shoot for 80% if possible.
    • Do an essay scenario for each sub unit at least once.  Treat it like a real essay, force yourself to not take short cuts, and answer completely. Grade yourself honestly, if you left out something in your answer make note of it.
    • If you're struggling with formulas / definitions, drill those flash cards.  I had to drill flash cards in about 1/3rd of my units to remember certain definitions
    • consistency > cramming. Shoot to study every day or nearly every day, for a fixed amount of time.  I tried to hit at least 45 minutes a day, which I think I did probably 6 days a week, with the occasional lapses and breaks here and there as life got in the way. And of course other days where I was able to knock out 2 hours of studying. I did take longer to prep though - a little over 6 months I believe, which has it's pros and cons.  Depending on where you're at in your course material you made need to increase your daily study time. But personally, I didn't mind taking it slower and being more deliberate with my studying.  Forcing myself to study 2-3 hours a day would just make me burn out.
    • Take a full practice test at least once, a week or two before your test.  This will give you a sense of timing and a broad picture of where you stand.  I will say the practice test was harder in some ways, and easier in others. Timing for instance, I felt WAY more rushed on the actual test than the Gleim practice test.
    • Use that last week or so to cram. You'll know exactly where your weak spots are, so focus on those. Review outlines, take quizzes over and over.  Focus more on MCQs over essays, but take some practice essays too.
    • Hammer on as many MCQs as you can, especially in that last cram. Shoot for 50 a day.
    • The real test will probably have slightly different focus than your practice test.  No real way to prep for that aspect, just do your best to make sure you understand each subunit well and how they fit together with other subunits.

Best of luck to you on your test.

Ensure you have internalised the concepts well. Exam questions are more focused on testing your understanding of concepts
