  • 1.  CMA part 2 Preparation

    Posted 08-20-2023 06:20 PM

    Hi,

I am currently using Wiley review course, anyone who has passed the exam can advise on dos & donts.

is practicing test banks & retired questions alone a good way to prepare and focus on the material?
do people actually read the materials ? Or just practice and solidify the concepts with practice?

In my experience, if you only use Wiley, then for the multiple choices in the Wiley test bank, practice a lot and also try to read the explaination why the other choices are wrong. Also for some calculation questions, wiley does not give full explaination. So you need to make sure why the answer A is correct and the others are incorrect. Then you can pass the test.

Regarding the essay questions, i think the Wiley materials in test banks are good enough to pass the test. You might not need to look for other materials

    Hi Sumaya,

I recently passed Part 2 in the last window.   My advice is that you need understand all of the concepts as you'll never know what will be tested.  For example, you may see questions on specific ethics principles.  Or there may be an essay question just on ethics where you need to incorporate various ethical considerations.   I would recommend reading the materials.   I used Becker and watched the videos, reviewed the slides, studied flashcards, and completed MCQ and essay questions.  Good luck

I passed both parts by using Gleim and Hock. I read materials before practicing test banks. I often read the explaination of the answer not only my answer is wrong but also my answer is right. The deep understanding of the concept helps me a lot in the real test. So undertanding as much as you can while preparing for CMA test also practicing as much as you can.

I am using Hock stream and Hock online program. I think Wiley's videos are not so useful to me. Will take the part 2 in September to October Window. Do you want to study together on Part 2?
