    Hello,

    I have completed CMA Part 2 and I am scheduled to appear for CMA Part 1 on June 24, 2026. My current IMA membership is valid until September 30, 2026.

    I understand that the CMA certification also requires 2 years of relevant work experience. However, I have not yet completed the experience requirement and I plan to start working after my exam.

    Could you please clarify the following:

    1. Do I need to continuously renew my IMA membership every year until I complete the 2-year work experience requirement?
    2. Or can I allow my membership to expire temporarily and renew it later at the time of submitting my experience requirement and applying for certification?

    I would appreciate your guidance regarding the correct process.
