Dear IMA Team,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to seek clarification regarding the exam eligibility for students who have received the IMA scholarship. I was awarded the scholarship in July 2024. At the time of application, it was clearly mentioned that the scholarship would provide a 3-year membership. This is also clearly mentioned in my IMA dashboard, where the Member Type is listed as Three Years Student Scholarship.
Based on this, I assumed that I would have 3 years (9 exam windows) to take and clear the exams, ensuring I pass them on the first attempt.
However, after receiving the scholarship, I noticed a change in the eligibility criteria mentioned on the IMA website. It now states that the scholarship includes a 2-year membership and that exams must be cleared within 1 year.
Could you please clarify the following:
1. Does the scholarship code I received to waive off my exam fees need to be utilized within 1 year (i.e., the last eligible window being May-June 2026)?
2. Or do I have the originally mentioned 3 years to utilize the scholarship benefits?
It would be very helpful if someone who has already received the scholarship could confirm the updated eligibility details.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Best regards,
Param Manek
