Hi All,
Need your advise can we calculate IRR using Basic calculator? or if we need a Financial calculator for the exams?

Yes we can Calculate IRR from basic Calculator. There is no need to take financial calculator. If you want to take financial calculator there is prescribed list of financial calculator which are allowed in exams.

I used basic calculator for both exam parts and it's enough for all calculations.

As you can see to expand the denominator and to isolate the IRR is not possible with traditional calculation methods. Expanding the terms on paper will take super long extra time. So the financial calculator makes it quick and gives you the IRR within few seconds.

You can calculate using ordinary calculator and time value table which available on exam screen.
