Hello all!

I have a potential project with a company who is recovering from bankruptcy and needs a new bookkeeping system. Historically they have earned around $30M in revenue and I'd like to set them up with something that could grow with them to sustain at least $50M of revenue and activity in the near future. I'd also be curious if there is any FP&A software/systems out there that they could also use and would integrate with whatever bookkeeping system we choose. 

Would love any thoughts, advice, recommendations around bookkeeping and FP&A software that anyone thinks may fit the bill.

You've basically described my entire career. As a Fractional CFO, this is what I do on a daily basis for several companies. I even have a client who I helped through a bankruptcy. Let's talk about your clent's needs now.

A bookkeeping system is only as good as the Standard Operating Procedures that are used to enter data into the bookkeeping system. Based on the size of the client, I would look at Netsuite, Sage Intacct, and Xero. As I have a love-hate relationship with Intuit (They love to make me hate them), I cannot in good conscious recommend QuickBooks Enterprise. I definitely do not recommend their latest botched Online Enterprise attempt.

For FP&A needs, I recommend Jirav, FathomHQ, Anaplan, Prophix, Centage, Jedox, and Netsuite. At the very least, all of these programs have Excel spreadsheet import options. Most of them have direct integrations with many cloud-based bookkeeping systems. I listed these programs in order of preference for myself. Pricing varies widely based on what is selected in the programs and number of users/cost centers. Colleen,

Might I ask what industry the company is in?  I have found that regardless of revenue, programs like Netsuite (and others)  may work great for one company.  Another company of the same size and revenue but in a different industry may not get what they need out of the same program.
