Authors allege ~half a million books had been pirated to train its chatbots. Its possible that #Anthropic 🆚 #authors will go to trial if the settlement is not accepted.

This is such an interesting and developing story,@Ilya Ilienko! It might make a lot of big players in the AI game nervous if they are using content without permission. There are so many ethical questions to be answered surrounding AI, and it's all happening so fast. Congratulations on the massive amount of LinkedIn views on this post!

Hey @Jennifer Pinder — yes this is indeed precedent setting news! Academia work, articles, opinion, creative artistic work, lyrics, poems, fiction, non-fiction . . . on and on. There are already a massive amount of lawsuit out there against the big AI companies for infringement and piracy. Theft of ideas and thoughts!!!

We'll see . . .

Thanks for the compliment about the post, yes there were massive views on LinkedIn, but I think one of the issues is, I tried to embed the video as a YouTube link — I played and played w it, but it does not take for a neat preview, so the post doesn't attract views like it does on LinkedIn, there its presented well and catches the eye, here not so much. Limitation.
