    Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how long the grace period is before the CMA license shows as fully inactive? Also, is there any penalty fee for late payment or any repercussions for not having an active CMA license?

    Please respond! Thanks.

Hello, IMA emails our members 3 months in advance of the membership/certification expiration. We do support a 3-month grace period to assist you before expiring both your certification and membership.  If your membership/certification does expire, you will then have to rejoin as a new customer and required to pay processing fees in addition to going through the certification reactivation process. Hope this helps!

Also, the U.S. CMA certification is not a license to practice public accounting or auditing. The CMA is a voluntary certification for management accountants, working inside organizations. If you have any additional questions, please let me know. Thank you!
