An Inspirational Journey - From Students to CMAs

Wow, what a day two at our 92nd annual conference and exposition in Orlando!

The day started off with the future of our profession - students.  Four finalists competed for the student case competition.  Although a winner was selected, all four groups were winners for their passion, intellectual curiosity, and focus.  Thanks to Sandy Richtermeyer (volunteer leader) and Jodi Ryan (staff leader).

The day ended (well, for many!) with the annual CMA recognition dinner.  This year, IMA minted a record number of CMAs.  From students to CMAs - protecting investors, driving business performance, enriching careers, organizations, societies and economies.  Thanks to Joe Vincent (volunteer leader) and Dennis Whitney (staff leader).

In between, we had the VP of Finance for Walmart International speak (wonderful talk, inspirational story of a leadership journey) and Wall Street Journal coverage!

Breaking news - the new IMA Salary Survey indicates that CMAs earn over 20% more than non-certified professionals!

IMA - the world's leading and largest accounting association focused exclusively on advancing the practice of management accounting - getting stronger every day thanks to the power of its community!!!
