The first day of IMA's 92nd annual conference and exposition in sunny Orlando started off with a bang and a clear demonstration of IMA's "power of community".
Today the IMA Global Board approved the four-year strategic plan which we call "bold" and "beautiful". Bold because it squarely addresses the environmental risks to keep IMA on its global growth trajectory. Beautiful because the plan leverages IMA's multiple years of consecutive surpluses and maintains a strong balance sheet and reserve position, with aggressive marketing and corporate development plans.
While the board meeting was taking place, in the morning chapter/council officers assembled for training, networking and sharing of best practices. In the afternoon, pre-conference workshops were conducted.
THE POWER OF COMMUNITY - that is what makes IMA great and enhances its position as the world's leading and largest accounting association focused exclusively on advancing the practice of management accounting!!
